AP General Contractors x HALL Arts Residences

Bringing The Gallery Penthouse to life required a team with both technical mastery and an appreciation for artistry. AP General Contractors stepped into that role, transforming an 8,000-square-foot, full-floor shell into one of Dallas’ most remarkable residences. Their challenge was to realize an architectural vision centered on openness, light, and flow—without relying on traditional walls or conventional layouts. Every decision had to support the sense of liberation Abeyta Architecture Studio envisioned, while also delivering a flawless, livable home.
To achieve this, AP General Contractors executed a series of intricate solutions with remarkable precision. They discreetly integrated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems beneath the raised flooring, preserving uninterrupted views across the residence. Their team also oversaw the execution of refined finishes, from hand-applied plaster on structural columns and the central core—designed to achieve a uniquely soft, matte look—to the introduction of fine-grained silver oak, a material that added warmth and texture throughout the space. The balance of engineering and artistry defined their approach at every stage of the build.
Perhaps most impressive was their ability to innovate in areas where conventional methods fell short. Monumental pocket doors, more than 12 feet tall and 8 feet wide, were constructed entirely on-site—an extraordinary feat in a high-rise tower where size and logistics often pose limitations. Even the smallest details received their full attention: electrical outlets painted to blend seamlessly into a stone backsplash, or mirrored doors installed with perfect alignment to architectural curves. The result is a penthouse that not only reflects the architect’s vision of freedom and fluidity but also demonstrates AP General Contractors’ unparalleled dedication to craftsmanship and excellence.
