What is the Gallery Penthouse? A Look at One of HALL Arts Residences’ Most Private Addresses
A FLOOR OF ITS OWN
Some penthouses share a level with other residences. The Gallery Penthouse does not. Set on Floor 26 of HALL Arts Residences in the Dallas Arts District, it occupies the entire 26th floor — a single home, not one of several. Owners step off a private elevator directly into the residence, with no shared corridor between the elevator and the front door.
At 7,688 square feet, with four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the Gallery Penthouse is built at a scale most residential towers reserve for the very top of the building. Here, it sits just below the tower’s only other penthouse, Sky Terrace, on Floor 28 — together forming HALL Arts Residences’ Penthouse Collection.
ROOMS WITH A PURPOSE
The residence opens through 12-foot pocket doors into a living room with 14-foot ceilings, a monumental fireplace, and a bronze pinstripe accent running through the flooring. A separate library, designed with its own fireplace, functions as what the building’s team calls a haven for quiet contemplation — a room with a purpose distinct from the entertaining spaces around it.
The primary suite includes heated stone floors, a soaking tub, abundant natural light, and two full dressing rooms. Elsewhere in the home, a climate-controlled wine cellar gives the residence its own dedicated space for a collection, rather than folding it into the kitchen or a hallway closet.
A MATERIAL LANGUAGE OF ITS OWN
Walls throughout the Gallery Penthouse are finished in hand-troweled artisanal plaster, and the kitchen carries the same material language found across HALL Arts Residences: Gaggenau appliances and bulthaup cabinetry, part of the interiors designed building-wide by Emily Summers. Furnishings for the residence were sourced through Neal Thomas Enterprises, based in New York. The building itself was designed by Abeyta Architecture Studio and built by Allgood/Pfannenstiel General Contractors.
TWO TERRACES, ONE VIEW
The Gallery Penthouse has two distinct outdoor spaces rather than one shared terrace: a private terrace off the primary suite, and a separate terrace adjoining the dining room for entertaining. Also, because the residence occupies the entire floor, its windows wrap the building on every side — giving the Gallery Penthouse uninterrupted, 360-degree views of the Dallas skyline and the Arts District below, from nearly every room.
